On Friday March 16, 2012:

  • Critter Capers is a consistently reliable good time for kids. Head out to Green Briar Nature Center with your little ones to be part of the fun at 10:30 AM. Drop in for a half-hour visit with the naturalist and one of the nature center’s resident animals. Suitable for families with children ages 3 and up. Fee is $2 per person. Advance registration is not required. Green Briar Nature Center and Jam Kitchen in East Sandwich.

  • Toddler Town is offered from 10:30 AM - 1:00 PM: Stories and crafts at 10:30am, followed by playtime in the indoor gym. Wellfleet Public Library in Wellfleet.

  • DY Theatre Co. presents "Oliver!" March 15 through 17 at 7pm and Sunday, March 18 at 2pm. The musical is based on Charles Dickens' "Oliver Twist", book, music and lyrics by Lionel Bart. General admission is $10, bring a nonperishable food item to Sunday's performance and get $2 off admission. At Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School, 210 Station Ave., South Yarmouth.
  • STAGE presents "The Laramie Project" at 4:00 PM and again at 7:00PM. Sturgis Public Charter School's STAGE presents "The Laramie Project" by Moises Kaufman and the members of the Tectonic Theater Project. At the Hyannis Harbor Arts Center (Hyannis)

  • 20th Annual Sonny Roderick Billingsgate Invitational Basketball Tournament all day at Wellfleet Elementary School & (Eastham/Wellfleet). The Wellfleet Recreation Department proudly announces The Twentieth Annual Sonny Roderick Billingsgate Invitational Basketball Tournament. March 16-18, 2012. This tournament is held at two schools: Wellfleet Elementary School & Nauset Regional High School in Eastham.The games are open to teams from 5/6th grade to adult. Additionally there will be a 3/4 grade round robin & Obstacle Course. The High School Division will play March 15th – 17th.

  • If you’re into musicals, the Harwich Junior Theatre continues to provide incredible programming! HJT presents "Big River" the Musical at 7:30 PM at Harwich Junior Theatre in Harwich.

  • Science Saturday: Pets from 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM Science Saturday, March 17 from 9:30am to 11am. Come join Kim Torres and hear about types of PETS and their care and feeding. Enjoy the many craft projects. For preschool to Grade 2. Funded by the Bourne Early Childhood Council through a grant from the MA Department of Early Education and Care.   • Nature Tales10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Cozy up in the nature center at Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary for a special story and color a picture to take home. You'll learn about the wildlife that thrives here on Cape Cod and throughout the world. Best for families with children up to age 8. Wellfeet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary in Wellfleet.

  • Storytime & Leprachaun Search at 1 PM & 4 PM. Fun and special treats! Old Navy, Route 132, Hyannis.

  • Leprechaun Hunt 12 PM to 2 PM. Wear your green and help us capture the Leprechauns who are taking over the store. A successful capture earns the hunter a reward! All ages welcome. One award per hunter. Red Balloon Toy Shop, Mashpee Commons, Mashpee.
