Cape Cod Foundation names Lisa McNeill interim director

McNeill returns to foundation, will work part time until a permanent director is named

Lisa McNeill, former vice president of the Cape Cod Foundation, has returned to the Foundation as interim executive director upon the resignation of President Elizabeth Gawron. McNeill will continue as president of Cape Cod Volunteers and work part time at the Foundation until a successor is found for Gawron.

Jennifer S. D. Roberts, chair of the Foundation’s board of directors, said the Foundation has undertaken a national search and that she expects Gawron’s successor to be hired by this summer. “We want to take our time with this important position and hire the best candidate for the job,” Roberts said.  The Foundation has engaged Susan Egmont of Egmont Associates in Boston to assist in the search.

Lisa McNeill was vice president of the Foundation until 2010.  At that time, Cape Cod Volunteers, a Foundation project that McNeill led while at the Foundation, was spun off into a separate nonprofit organization and McNeill left the Foundation to head it.
