Route 28 closed for hours, no students among injured

One Injured in two vehicle crash on Federal Furnace Road in Plymouth this afternoon

Two Trucks also involved in Plymouth Accident
One person was transported to Jordan Hospital following a two vehicle accident near 66 Federal Furnace Road in Plymouth around 12:20 PM Monday (04-23-12) afternoon.  The victim’s injuries are not believed to be serious.  Two trucks at the scene of the accident sustained moderate damage.  Plymouth Police are investigating the accident.

IDDLEBOROUGH - Several people were injured when a tractor trailer slammed into a vehicle stopped behind a school bus picking up students on Route 28 in Middleborough , Massachusetts Monday (04-23-12) morning around 8:30 AM. See the video here.

According to police at the scene, six ambulances responded to the scene to transport injured patients from multiple vehicles. At least two of the patients injured reportedly sustained serious injuries.  Several of the vehicles sustained heavy damage as a result of the crash.  There was no reported damage to the stopped school bus or people on the bus. 

State Police accident reconstruction specialists spent several hours investigating the crash.  Route 28 in both directions was shut down during the investigation.  It is unclear at this time if weather was a factor in the crash, although there were heavy downpours throughout the area Monday morning.
