Some people in Yarmouth think Ship Shops has been here since before the Mayflower arrived in Ptown. But it has only been four score and four years, as a Pilgrim might describe how long this local Bass River Marina has been on the Cape.

Ship Shops starting renting boats and doing about everything else a good marina does in 1928.

According to Martyn Taubert, all of their boats are late model Boston Whalers and  powered with fuel injected outboards.

Their rental boats all feature VHF radios, depth finders, rod holders, swim platforms, US Coast Guard required safety equipment and local navigation charts.

Ship Shops' 20', 22' and 24' boats have GPS navigation and sun tops.

Martyn adds, "No reservations can be taken for hourly rentals. If you walk in and we have availability, we will gladly rent for a 2 hour minimum."
