Jim Belushi to join the Boston Pops on August 12

The Arts Foundation of Cape Cod has announced the celebrity guest conductor for this year's TD Bank Pops by the Sea concert.  For the 27th annual concert, Jim Belushi will be joining Conductor Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra on stage in Hyannis on Sunday, August 12, 2012.

For eight years, he starred and served as executive producer on the popular ABC sitcom According to Jim.  A musician and an author, Belushi is best known for his comedic work with Second City and Saturday Night Live and his roles in the feature films Real Men, The Principal, Mr. Destiny, Curly Sue and K9.

In 203, Belushi released the album Have Love, Will Travel, with fellow comedian/musician Dan Aykroyd. Belushi and Aykroyd perform regularly as Zee Blues, an updated version of the Blues Brothers. He also has his own band The Sacred Hearts.

The 27th annual TD Bank Pops by the Sea Concert will be held on Sunday, August 12, 2012 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the Hyannis Village Green on Main Street.  An audience of 15,000 turns out annual to enjoy the Cape's single largest cultural event.

Several ticket options are available beginning with general admission lawn seats of $15. Tickets are available online on the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod website. Proceeds from the concert benefit the foundation and its mission to celebrate and support the arts year-round on Cape Cod.
