An Orleans landmark is scheduled to be sold at a foreclosure auction Wednesday, July 18 at 11 a.m.  The 143-year-old building last housed the Saltwater Grille but long time Cape residents may remember the property better as The Arbor restaurant with the popular Binnacle pub on the lower level.

Currently listed with Bohman-Thayer Real Estate, the property is described as a 100 plus seat restaurant with a five bedroom dwelling above.  There is also a possibility to use the lower level as a second food establishment, which would bring total seating to 152.  Built in 1869, the property is a landmark on Route 28, situated between Gladstone Furniture and Cuffy’s.

Orleans assessing records list the owner as Moss Landing, LLC and show a purchase price of $850,000 on October 6, 2003.
