Cape Cod Hospital one of only two from Massachusetts on the list
Cape Cod Hospital has earned another distinction, this time being named one of America's 100 Great Community Hospitals by Becker's Hospital Review.
Becker's Hospital Review, published nine times a year, focuses on business and legal issues important to healthcare provider CEOs and CFOs. Becker's editorial staff turned to a variety of industry sources to compile the Top 100 list.
Cape Cod Hospital is one of only two Massachusetts hospitals and one of only four New England hospitals to have made the list, according to a release from Cape Cod Healthcare.
"The hospitals on this list have demonstrated commitments to the health of their local population through clinical excellence, community involvement and various other efforts," Becker’s said in a statement announcing this award.
Of Cape Cod Hospital, Becker's said:
Cape Cod Hospital (Hyannis, Mass.). The 259-bed Cape Cod Hospital has one of the busiest emergency departments in New England, providing emergency services to 84,000 patients annually.
