Editor's note: The following letter was received in response to Henry Schoenberger's article entitled "The coming of the financial plague: Elizabeth Warren can stop it".
To the Editor:
Mr. Schoenberger believes Elizabeth Warren to be a person of intellect and courage. Fair enough.
Unfortunately, he pairs her run for the Senate with the re-election of the not so courageous Obama.
Obama abandoned Professor Warren rather than supporting her leadership of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, an agency which she envisioned and established. Then he pushed through recess appointments of lesser nominees to less important positions.
I'd like to see Massachusetts elect a woman to the Senate, but I'd much prefer that we have a chance to retire John Kerry in favor of Elizabeth Warren in 2014.
