Veep Joe Biden in Chatham for a fundraiser today

The vice president's first a stop was at the Chatham Wayside Inn Friday night where tickets started at $5,000 per person.

Then on Sunday Joe Biden spoke at Pilgrim Monument in Provincetown in the morning where general admission tickets were $250 and meet and greet tickets fetched $25,000.

In Provincetown Biden praised the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community for not having only advanced their own civil rights, but the "civil rights of every straight American," adding to the 300 attending, "You are freeing the soul of the American people."

Biden added to the local LGBTs attending, “If I had to use one adjective to describe this community it’d be courage, you have summoned the courage to speak out, to come out. "We owe you.”

Biden also took time to praise U.S. Congressman Bill Keating by calling his a "stand-up guy."

The Vice President had a private fundraiser in a local home on Sunday while his State Police escort waited at the Chatham Coffee Company in the Northport Shopping Plaza.
