LCOC rebuts our story

Editor's note: We asked the director of the Lower Cape Outreach Council to comment on our story questioning the charity's expenses for its website. Below is the LCOC Executive Director's  response.

Mr. Brooks:

Thanks for your inquiry.

Richard Kirk’s scope of work for this organization goes far beyond developing art and graphics for our website. (A website which was completely designed by him.) He designs and handles production for all of the direct marketing and collateral materials of the Council. Our yearly calendar of events and mailings and community initiatives requires graphics, art, and the necessary skills to handle production for many different outlets that work with our organization.

In addition, Richard Kirk creates all space advertising for the Council and for our subsidiary, The Hope Chest.

He extends these same services to collaborating not-for-profits and businesses that are working on our behalf.

Finally, with a complete staff of 3 people, I depend on Mr. Kirk to negotiate with print vendors, meet deadlines, work directly with the members of my development committee and provide us with over 30 years of direct marketing skills and know how.

Any further questions, please call me.
