Regional public hearing on women's issues planned for November 19 in Harwich

Public invited to attend and comment

The Cape Cod & Islands Commission on the Status of Women will hold a regional public hearing on women's issues on Monday, November 19 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Harwich Community Center on Oak Street, Harwich.

  • The commission is especially interested in hearing from the public on the following legislative priorities:
  • Pay equity and comparable work
  • Earned paid sick time
  • Equitable coverage in disability policies
  • Housing rights for victims of domestic violence, rape, sexual assault and stalking

Citizens, government officials and organizations that advocate for women and families in the region are encouraged to attend. Oral and written testimony will be accepted at the hearing.

The hearing is open to the public. There will be light refreshments.
