Barnstable Citizens Leadership Academy to begin in January

Eleven-week course offers a look inside Barnstable town government

Registration is now open for the next session of Inside Barnstable Town Government.  The 20th session of this citizens leadership academy will begin on Tuesday, January 29, 2013.  Participants will learn about the workings of the Barnstable town government. The course is designed to increase civic participation, understanding and awareness.

Classes meet every Tuesday from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., starting on January 29 and will be held at various locations throughout town. Classes are taught by town staff and offer an interactive learning experience enhanced by group discussion and site tours.

The academy is free and the class size is limited. Those interested in participating are encouraged to sign up early.
