This year will mark the 22nd year for Hope Hospice's annual Tree of Memories. Each year, ornamental scallop shells are inscribed with the names of love ones and hung on one of seventeen trees located throughout the Cape.
A non-denominational ceremony performed by Hope Hospice chaplains and local clergy will be held at each tree giving attendees the opportunity to remember loved ones through prayer and song.
Shells may be reserved by calling 508-957-0254 or visiting hopehealthco.org and making a donation in any amount. Shells will be placed on the tree of choice.
Anyone may be honored regardless of whether or not they were in hospice. Following the holidays, many people keep the shells in honor of their loved ones.
