Town of Mashpee to hire new full-time police officer

Town is compiling an eligibility list

The Town of Mashpee has begun the process to hire a new full-time police officer.  Interested applicants must submit a completed town application and a check for the written exam in the amount of $35 (made payable to the Town of Mashpee).  The application is available on the official town website here.

Applicants must be 21-years-old, have no felony convictions and possess a valid driver's license. Certified candidates may be given preference based on qualifications. Uncertified candidates must succesfully complete a full-time recruit academy.

Applications are due by January 18, 2013. 

Candidates must successfully complete a written examination, oral board review, physical agility examination, interview, physical and psychological examinations and a comprehensive background check.
