Bowl & Bistro: something new to do this weekend in Mashpee

New, fresh concept comes to Cape Cod

Saturday, January 12 is the grand opening of The Lanes Bowling and Bistro in Mashpee Commons. The bowling boutique is being developed by Bobby Byrne Management Corp.  Upscale and casual, the venue puts bowling, dining and entertainment under one roof.

The developers hope to appeal to a wide variety of visitors and residents of all ages.  This "is not your grandfather's alley", they clearly state on their website. There will be 10 ten-pin Qubica/AMF lanes, an entertainment stage, a seasonal outdoor bar and a bocce court in addition to the adjacent bistro.  Patrons can grab a bite and bowl, or just grab a bite. Couples can enjoy a quiet and romantic nosh while the kids bowl next door.

The Lanes will be opening their doors to a variety or programs, leagues and casual bowlers.

The bistro's menu features an array of tempting, artistic dishes including lobster risotto balls, tempura asparagus, kettle chips and dip and pretzel sliders.

The grand opening is at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 12.

The Lanes Bowl & Bistro is at 9 Greene Street in Mashpee Commons, Mashpee, MA.  There are three Bobby Byrne's locations on Cape Cod, in Hyannis, Sandwich and Mashpee.
