Harwich folks have a little something extra to smile about. Coastal Living magazine recently ranked the Cape town as one of the happiest seaside towns of 2013.

This is the second year the magazine has issued their top ten list of the best seaside towns to live in in the United States.  They've narrowed it down to ten and are accepting votes for the #1 seaside town.

Zeroing in on Harwichport, Coastal Living says of the Mid Cape town: "a beautiful, upscale village of 1,644 residents along Cape Cod's southern shore, known as "The Port", has been the home of seamen and fishermen since before the American Revolution."

The other nine towns vying for the top spot are Beaufort, SC; Kennebunkport, ME; LaJolla, CA; Newport, RI; Rowayton, CT; Pa'ia Town, Maui, HI; Pescadero, CA; Sag Harbor, NY and Sanibel Island, FL.

The voting is open until February 28, so whether you already live in Harwich or dream of living in Harwich, visit their site to vote.

The winner will be revealed in the magazine's June 2013 issue.
