Two popped for Percocet possession in Eastham Thursday

Arrests followed a three-month investigation

EASTHAM - A three-month investigation conducted by Eastham, Wellfleet and Truro detectives resulted in the arrest of two people in Eastham Thursday. According to an Eastham police release, officer pulled over a car on Thursday just after 4 p.m. The two people in the car, Jason Frazier of Wellfleet and Katherine Carey-Benton of Eastham were both placed under arrest for the illegal possession of Percocet.

The pair were transported to the Eastham Police Station where they were processed and charged with possession of a Class B drug (Percocet) with intent to distribute and conspiracy to violate drug laws. Additionally, Frazier was charged with possession of a Class B drug (suboxone) with intent to distribute.

Police did not release the amount of narcotics found on Frazier and Carey-Benton.

Frazier was held overnight at Barnstable House of Correction on $2,000 and Carey-Benton was released on personal recognizance. Both were arraigned in Orleans District Court Friday.
