Fifteen residents graduate from the 2013 Eastham Citizens' Police Academy

Eleven-week class deemed a success

Fifteen Eastham residents now have a better understanding of day-to-day police work after graduating from the 2013 Eastham Citizens' Police Academy.  The final class of the eleven-week course was held at the Eastham Police Station last Tuesday.

Participants learned about a wide range of public safety topics including arrest and search and seizure, OUI and speed enforcement, evidence collection and processing and the legal use of force.

"The class was a resounding success due to the commitment and dedication of the Eastham officers who instructed the classes and the Eastham Police Union who funded refreshments each week as well as the graduation cake and diplomas for the last class," said Chief Kulhawik, welcomes thoughtful comments and the varied opinions of our readers.
