Nine injured in four-vehicle crash on Route 6 in Eastham

EASTHAM - Nine people were reportedly injured in a crash involving four vehicle on Route 6 in Eastham Tuesday night.

The crash, which involved a US Mail box truck and three other vehicles, occurred around 7:30 p.m. in front of the Four Points Sheraton in Eastham.

Nine people were taken to the hospital, according to an official at the scene. One of the nine is believed to have sustained serious injuries.

Traffic was slow on Route 6 and authorities recreated the accident and the scene was cleared.

It is unknown what caused the multi-vehicle crash.

Eastham police are investigating.
