The Hyannis Elks Giants scored some new safety equipment this season thanks to an Elks grant.  The Barnstable Little League Minor League Division team received $500 in new safety equipment including knee savers and catching gear from their sponsors the Hyannis Elks.

The funding for the equipment was made possible through an ENF Gratitude Grant. The Elks National Foundation (ENF) Gratitude Grants are given to the lodges that meet the National President's per-member goal for giving to the ENF. The grants are used to make positive contributions and improvements in the community.

The Hyannis Elks Lodge 1549 sponsors the Giants, who in 2013 had 3 wins, 5 losses and 3 ties. The Minor League Division is made up of nine teams with players ages 9 to 12.
