The Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce announced recently that their CEO, Wendy Northcross, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the American Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE). Northcross's three-year term began at the organization's annual convention in July.

Founded in 1914, the ACCE has more than 7,000 members representing over 1,200 chambers of commerce in the United States and Canada. Member chambers vary in size and represent states, towns, cities and regions like the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce.

Northcross joins a board of directors of 52. She is one of only two board members from chambers in Massachusetts.

According to a release from the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce, Northcross is nearing the end of a one-year term as president of the New England Chamber of Commerce Executives and is a past president of the Massachusetts Association of Chamber Executives. In 2003, she was named New England Chamber Executive of the Year. In addition to serving as CEO of the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce, Northcross also sits on several local boards including the Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod, the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod, the Workforce Investment Board and JTEC.
