Yoga for seniors in Sandwich begins October 22

Beginning the week of October 20, the Sandwich Council on Aging will offer three different yoga classes for seniors.  Choose from gentle yoga, challenging fit yoga or seated chair yoga.

Classes will run for eight weeks.  All three classes will be taught by Sherill Dykeman, RYT. Dykeman recently completed senior-specific training with trainers from Duke University Integrative Medicine, according to the Sandwich Council on Aging.

The eight-week series is being offered for $48 (eight classes). The class schedule is:


  • Gentle yoga at 9 a.m.
  • Challenging fit yoga at 10:30 a.m.


  • Gentle yoga at 9 a.m.
  • Seated chair yoga at 11 a.m.

Registration is required and space is limited. Sandwich residents will be taken first. Call 508-888-4737 for information and to register.
