The Town of Barnstable is seeking artists interesting in being a part of the 2014 Harbor Your Arts shanty program.  The program, started in 2005, draws visitors to Bismore Park on Hyannis Harbor where artisans create, display and sell their work in an outdoor market atmosphere.

The deadline for entrants is November 15, 2013. According to Melissa Hersh, Town of Barnstable Arts and Culture Coordinator, artists will be juried and final selections will be made and announced by December 27, 2013. In the event of open spaces, applications will continue to be accepted to fill remaining slots.

The shanties are open on the weekends in the shoulder seasons and seven days a week in the summer. Artwork available at the shanties includes photography, paintings, jewelry, ceramics, fiber arts and more.

Applications are available on the Hyartsdistrict.com website here.
