It's almost 2014, which means it's time to get your First Night Chatham button!  Buttons for the popular New Year's Eve event which began in 1991 are now on sale.

For more than 20 years, attendees have enjoyed wonderful music, food, entertainment and fireworks, all in a family-friendly, alcohol-free environment.

This year's theme is "Roll out the Red Carpet" and features performances at the newly renovated and opened Orpheum Theatre, thirteen new performers, 57 entertainers and the Cape Cod Opera's final bow with a salute to the movies the night before New Year's Eve.

New this year, First Night Chatham will feature a "plinth" area on Main Street featuring a fun assortment of street performers including mannequins, mimes, poets, storytellers, jugglers and singers. In fact, if you are one of these merrymakers and would like to take part, give Marie Williams a call at 508-945-4444.

First Night Chatham buttons are on sale at several Main Street locations and online and cost $18 for adults and $5 for children ages 3-11. Buttons allow you entry to all the fun.

For a complete schedule of events and to buy your buttons, visit the First Night Chatham website here.
