Bourne library hosts job seeker series

Three workshops planned to help you land a job

The Jonathan Bourne Public Library is offering a boost to job seekers. Through funding from the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners and the Institute of Museum and Library Services, the JBPL is hosting a three-part series of workshops to help anyone looking for a job.

The workshops will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the library on November 19, November 26 and December 3. The first topic, "Resume Writing & Cover Letters: Making Yourself Stand Out," will be presented by life and career coach Ann Davis Goodrum. The second topic, "Practical Aspects of Getting a Job: Now That You Have Your Resume, What Do You Do With It", will be presented by Jill Grindle of Pinnacle Resumes and the third topic, "Interviewing and Presentation" will be presented by Ann Davis Goodrum.

In addition to the funding for the workshop, the library has also been awarded funds to develop a job/career web page, add job/career-related titles to the library's collection and provide additional workshops on networking, computers and other business skills.
