FPD: Second arrest made in Bahia Lane home invasion

FALMOUTH - Falmouth police have made a second arrest in connection with the armed home invasion at Bahia Lane home Sunday.  According to a Falmouth police release, officers arrested 18-year-old Elijah Smith of East Sandwich at Falmouth District Court Thursday morning around 9:30 a.m.

A warrant had been issued for Smith's arrest, charging him with assault to rob while armed with a firearm, possession of a firearm in a felony and home invasion in connection with an incident at a Bahia Lane home Sunday night.

During the home invasion, a resident was reportedly assaulted and taken to the hospital before police arrived. According to the initial report from police, there were several armed home invaders.

On Wednesday, a 17-year-old suspect was arrested at his Kompass Drive home after attempting to flee from police.

Police did not indicate if additional arrests are expected.
