Dennis Police & Fire to hold children's car seat check point December 7

Get your child's car seat checked by the experts
DPD and DFD are holding a car seat check point on Saturday, December 7.

WEST DENNIS - On Saturday, December 7 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Dennis Police and Fire Departments are holding a child car seat check point at Dennis Fire Headquarters.

The event, which is free of charge, is the perfect opportunity for residents to have their child's car seat checked for a variety of safety factors including:

  • Proper installation
  • Determine if this is the proper seat for the child's size and age
  • Check for manufacturer recalls
  • Check the car seat's age and expiration date

Appointments are not necessary.

The Dennis Child Safety Seat Team is: Sgt. Sullivan, Officers Winn, Troy, Keating and Swett, and Firefighters O'Connell, Anderson and Larkowski. The members of the team have been trained and are certified to conduct the safety check.

Dennis Fire HQ is at 883 Main Street (Route 28) in West Dennis.
