The Hyannis Chamber of Commerce Tuesday welcomed Kelly O'Brien aboard as their new business development specialist. In a release, Hyannis Chamber President and CEO Jessica Sylver said O'Brien will be responsible for growing membership and securing sponsorship for the chamber's annual guide and events.

"I will be knocking on your door, saying hello," said O'Brien as she embarks on her new career creating what she calls chamber partnerships.

Most recently, O'Brien was the head of sales and membership for the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod. Locally, she has extensive experience working in retail, insurance and hospitality, according to the release.

"We are thrilled to have Kelly aboard," said Sylver. "She has a proven dedication to the promotion of the Town of Barnstable both professionally and personally."

O'Brien is a resident of Barnstable.
