Two Truro Center School fundraisers this week

One gets the shopping done, the other gets you in shape

Today and tomorrow, there will be two big fundraising events for the Truro Center School. Thursday night's will help you get your holiday shopping down and Friday night's will get you in shape.

First up, the 3rd annual Holiday Shopping Night will be held at the school on Route 6 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, December 5. The TEEA, or Truro Educational and Enrichment Alliance is hosting the event.

Finish up your holiday shopping early this year with local vendors including Jobi Pottery, Cape Cod Gourmet, Truro Vineyards, Provincetown Fudge Factory, Argonauta Jewelry Design and many more.

The organizers promise refreshments to keep your energy up and lots of fun.

Next up, Zumbathon will be held on Friday, December 6 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Truro Community Center. Licensed Zumba instructors Julie Rich and Erin Silva will take you through some fun dance moves to Latin music.

Zumbathon benefits the Truro Center School's 5th and 6th grade class trips to Boston and Washington, DC. The fee is $10 per person, at the door.

Organizers of Friday night's event ask that all participants bring a canned good for the Truro Food Pantry.

The Truro Community Center is next to the library and the Truro Center School is on Route 6.
