Christmas Eve on Cape Cod

Missing babes, Aliens land and a Pigeon-ed rooftop
Aliens in Truro, Pigeons in Ptown, no babe in Chatham.

From Chatham to Provincetown
to Aliens in Truro to a Pigeon-ed Roof

'Tis a strange land we live in

On a foggy Christmas Eve morning I walked as usual for a mile and a half and passed the lovely First Congregational Church in Chatham on the rotary at the corner of Main Street and Route 28.

I paused a moment to admire this looming sight until my eyes noticed the large creche in front with shepherds, Mary, Joseph and.... no Jesus.

Later as I drove for a late lunch at Franizzi's in Provincetown. I took the Shore Road in North Truro to pass that ever-changing, and vastly overdone yard display which this year features aliens.

The last strange sight of the day was the Ginny C ticket booth on the wharf whose roof was literally covered with pigeons escaping the cold wind.
