Cape Rep Theater in Brewster this week announced auditions for their 2014 seasons. Roles are available for all three adult shows and two family shows.
According to Cape Rep's announcement, auditions on Saturday, March 29 will be by appointment only. Auditions on Sunday, March 30 will be on a first come/first served basis.
Roles are available for men and women of all ages and races. If you are auditioning for a musical, prepare one ballad and one up-tempo piece. Prepared monologues are helpful, but not necessary. Auditions may include a cold-read from a script.
When auditioning, wear appropriate clothing that allows movement. If you have a headshot and resume, bring it to the audition.
Cape Rep's 2014 shows are as follows:
One Man, Two Guvnors by Richard Bean. Rehearsals start on or around May 19. The show will be staged in the indoor theater from June 19-July 12.
The Light in the Piazza, book by Craig Lucas, music by Adam Guettel. Rehearsals start on or around June 24. The show will be staged in the indoor theater from July 24-August 23.
Funny Girl, music by Bob Merrill and Jule Styne, book by Isobel Lennart, Jule Styne and Bob Merrill. Rehearsals start on or around September 29. The show will be staged in the indoor theater from November 6-December 7.
You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, music, book and lyrics by Clark Gesner. Rehearsals begin on or around May 27. This children's show will be staged at the outdoor theater June 23-August 26 on Mondays & Tuesdays at 10 a.m.
Lyle the Crocodile, based on Lyle, Lyle Crocodile and the House on 88th Street by Bernard Waber. Adapted for the stage by Kevin Kling. Rehearsals start on or around May 27. This children's show will be staged at the outdoor theater July 2-August 28 on Wednesdays & Thursdays at 10 a.m.
