Mashpee looking to fill seasonal slots

If you are a student or you just don't like working in the winter, the Town of Mashpee this week announced several season job openings for the coming summer.

The Mashpee Recreation Department is seeking to fill several beach and summer day camp positions. Available positions include lifeguards and gate attendants at town beaches and head camp counselors, camp counselors, camp counselor/lifeguards and junior camp counselors for the rec department's summer day camp.

Mashpee Rec operates a weekly day camp from June 30 through August 15 featuring day trips, swimming and a different theme each week. Download this year's summer camp guide here. The Town of Mashpee has one saltwater beach (South Cape Beach) and two freshwater beaches (John's Pond and (Attaquin Park on Mashpee/Wakeby Lake).

Hourly rates, requirements and additional information is available through the town's Human Resources Department. Applications for summer employment are available online here.

Applicants must pass both a CORI check (Criminal Offense Record Inquiry) and a SORI check (Sexual Offense Record Inquiry). Applicants may also be required to complete a physical examination for certain positions.
