Volunteers wanted for this year's Pops by the Sea

Tickets, a tee and more for donating your time at annual August event

The Arts Foundation of Cape Cod is seeking volunteers to staff the 29th annual Citizens Bank Pops by the Sea Concert. This very popular event featuring the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra conducted by Keith Lockhart, will be held on Sunday, August 10 on the Hyannis Village Green.

Volunteers are encouraged to sign up now online. Several positions and time slots are available including grounds set up, table setters, post event clean-up, ticket checkers, VIP ushers, ushers, parking lot monitors and security. All volunteers are required to attend an orientation on Tuesday, July 29 at 5:30 p.m. Sign up information and complete details about each position are available here.

Each volunteer will receive two general admission unreserved lawn seat tickets, a t-shirt and lots of cold beverages and snacks during their shift.

This year's celebrate guest conductor is award-winning journalist and broadcaster Charlie Rose. Gates open the day of the concert at 1 p.m. The concert is from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. According to the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod website, the annual Citizens Bank Pops by the Sea concert is the biggest cultural event on Cape Cod.
