Six members of the Cape & Islands District Attorney's Office Victim Witness staff were recognized in Boston on Friday. The six received Length of Service awards at the 2014 Victim Rights Conference.
In a release, Cape & Islands District Attorney Michael O'Keefe congratulated his staff for their continued efforts.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Victim Bill of Rights.
"Victim advocacy is often a tough and sometimes thankless job," said Cape & Islands District Attorney Michael O'Keefe. "I appreciate the hard work and tireless effort the people in my victim witness office perform."
The Conference on April 25, presented by the Victim and Witness Assistance Board and the Massachusetts Office of Victim Assistance (MOVA), brought together survivors and victim service providers for a series of workshops, exhibits and networking.
The award recipients were:
