Yarmouth Chamber's executive director resigns

Former board member to step in

The Yarmouth Chamber of Commerce announced Wednesday that executive director Coren Egan has resigned. According to a statement from Chamber President Stephan P. McMahon, the Board of Directors has officially accepted Egan's resignation effective April 30, 2014.

Former Yarmouth Chamber of Commerce Board Member Linda Jean will step in as the interim executive director effective May 5, 2014, according to McMahon.

The statement did not indicate if and when the chamber will start a search for a permanent replacement for Egan.

Egan replaced longtime head of the chamber Bob DuBois following his retirement. She had only been director of the chamber since September. DuBois held the position for 23 years.

The chamber did not respond to an email request for more information about Egan's departure or their plans to find a permanent replacement for her.
