Harwich growers: get that green thumb ready

Plots still available in town gardens

Whether you are a seasoned gardener or thinking it's time to give that green thumb a go, plots are still available in the town gardens if you live in Harwich.

According to Carol Genatossio, executive assistant at the Harwich Conservation Department, several plots are still available in the Harwich Community Gardens on Sisson Road at a cost of $40.

In an earlier release, the conservation department said plots are available on a first come, first served basis.

To reserve a plot, download a reservation form and bring the form with your $40 to the Conservation Department at the Harwich Town Hall, 732 Main Street, Harwich.

Complete regulations regarding the upkeep of garden plots are available here.

Several other Cape Cod towns have community gardens including Provincetown, Wellfleet, Chatham, Falmouth and Brewster.
