Registration is open for a civics and leadership workshop for kids sponsored by Project Next Generation.  The free program geared towards middle schoolers will be held on Saturday, May 24 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Pocasset Community Center, 314 Barlows Landing Road in Pocasset (Bourne).

Project Next Generation fosters personal growth and success in young people by teaching them how they can get involved in their school and their community.

The workshop will be led by Project Next Generation founder and director Katie Curran.  Curran is a sophomore at Sturgis Charter Public School in Hyannis.

Registration is available online here. The four-hour workshop includes a closing ceremony and dinner catered by Chipotle Mexican Grille.
