PBS lovers--here's your chance at the spotlight

If you live on the Cape and love public television, WGBH wants you

WGBH is looking for local lovers of public television and anything and everything PBS.  If you live on the Cape and couldn't get enough of Sesame Street and the Electric Company as a kid or Nova, Downton Abbey and Antiques Roadshow as an adult, you could be chosen to be a part of WGBH's new promos.

The promotional spots featuring real viewers, will air on channels 2 and 44.

WGBH wants a variety of people--different ages, ethnic backgrounds and walks of life (but all Cape residents) to appear in the ads.

Anyone interested in participating, should email a photograph (cell phone photos and selfies are fine), your name, age, where you live and work and a few sentences about why you love WGBH to [email protected] (copy [email protected] too).

If chosen, you will be filmed in a favorite Cape spot, local landmark, even your own neighborhood. According to Bill DeSousa-Mauk of DEMA PR, who got the word out, WGBH representatives are looking to film on the Cape this Thursday, June 19.
