This year's Pints for Pups Auction features mobile bidding

Proceeds from popular event benefit local animal groups

This year's Pints for Pups event promises to be even bigger and better this year. Now in its third year, silent auction and social event of the season will be held on Friday, August 1 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at its new location--the Cape Codder Resort and Spa at 1225 Iyannough Road in Hyannis.

Ticket are $20 in advance (available online) or $30 at the door and include a free drink, plus a light buffet dinner, dessert, dancing and access to the silent auction.

This year, bidding in the silent auction will be even more "dog eat dog" with mobile bidding. Bidding begins on July 26 and continues through the end of the event. Mobile bidding allows you to use your smartphone to bid from just about anywhere--walking the dog, at home or on the dance floor at the event.

Pints for Pups is sponsored by Cold Noses Foundation, Inc and its partners MSPCA and New England Society for Abandoned Animals (NESAA). Proceeds from the event benefit all three organizations.

Even if you can't make it to the Cape Codder on August 1st, you can still register online and bid in the silent auction.
