Work is expected to commence at the Bay Street boat ramp beach area in Osterville on Monday, July 21, 2014. According to a release from the Town of Barnstable, the work should be completed by Thursday, July 31.
The Bay Street boat ramp is at 240 Bay Street on North Bay in Osterville. It features six parking spaces for residents with stickers and free launching for shallow draft boats.
Work will consist of excavation and placement of stone revetment at the waterside edge of the parking area, according to the release. During the erosion control project, trees will also be removed as needed.
Dinghy mooring will be prohibited during construction. The Barnstable Harbormaster will assist with temporary accommodations.
The boat ramp will remain open during construction. Parking will be restricted, but spaces will still be available.
