Hyannisport repaving project set to start September 2

Resurfacing, sidewalk repairs for Scudder Ave. and two other roads

Three Hyannisport roads are schedule for a facelift following Labor Day. The Town of Barnstable announced that a road resurfacing project will begin on Tuesday, September 2.

The project will consist of asphalt resurfacing, new granite curbing and sidewalk repairs for the entire length of Marston Avenue and Old Town Road and the portion of Scudder Avenue between West Main Street and Craigville Beach Road.

Work will be done from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. During that time, only one lane will be open to traffic. Outside of work times, both lanes will be open to traffic.

Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes will the work is being done.

Weather-permitting, the Town of Barnstable has set a completion date of Friday, October 10.
