Job's Fishing Road construction to cause delays

Construction to be done during September

Construction on Job's Fishing Road in Mashpee will begin on Tuesday, September 2. According to the Town of Mashpee, lane closures and delays are to be expected between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

In July, Governor Deval Patrick attended a ground-breaking for the Market Street Extension Project which includes the development of 382 units of mixed-income housing. The project, which is funded through a MassWorks grant, will extend Market Street to Job's Fishing Road. The first phase of construction will include 53 units and 12,000 square feet of retail space. Bordering Mashpee Commons, Job's Fishing Road connects Routes 151 and 28 near the Mashpee Rotary.

The work is expected to be completed on Friday, September 26.

Questions about the work may be directed to Mashpee Commons at 508-477-5400, according to the Town.
