Harwich announces two September paving projects

Both slated to begin this week

The Town of Harwich has announced two September paving projects. Both are set to begin this week.

The first project, paving on Long Pond Drive, is slated to begin on Tuesday, September 16 and last for two weeks. The project includes prep work and repaving of the road between Harwich Pines and the Fontaine Medical Center. That project is scheduled for completion on the 30th of September.

The second project, paving on Belmont Road, is slated to begin on Thurdsday, September 18 and continue into the first week of October. The project includes prep work and repaving of the road from Jeremy Lane to the Dennis town line.

While work at both locations is being done, one lane will be open at all times. Delays should be expected. Delays of 15 minutes or more may be possible, according to a notice from the town. Police will be at each work site to assist drivers. Drivers are encouraged to seek alternative routes.
