Gas main work to cause delays on Route 6A in Brewster

National Grid project starts up on Monday, Sept. 28

A gas main project set to begin on Monday, September 28 in Brewster is expected to cause delays on Route 6A. According to a Brewster police release, National Grid will begin work at the intersection of Millstone Road and Route 6A and head toward the Brewster/Orleans town line.

National Grid crews will be working Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Traffic in work areas will be limited to one lane. Officers will be on hand to guide motorists through work areas.

The project is expected to last until the late winter/early spring.

All businesses along Route 6A will remain open and accessible during the project, police said.
