River Road down to one lane during Marstons Mills paving project

Work scheduled for Nov. 21 & 22

The Barnstable Department of Public Works announced that River Road in Marstons Mills will be done to one lane during a two-day paving project.

The work will begin at 7 a.m. on Friday, November 21 at which time one lane will be closed to through traffic. Paving will be done on the entire length of River Road from Santuit Road to Route 149.

The work day will be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Both lanes will be one again Friday evening. Work will start up again on Saturday and is expected to be completed on Saturday, weather-permitting.

Motorists are encouraged to seek alternative routes. Signs and police officers will be available to direct motorists. Delays should be expected.
