Truro Police Blotter: 10/13/14 to 11/9/14

Eleven arrests including three for 2nd OUI offense
Truro police activity from 10/13/14 to 11/9/14.

During the 4-week period of Monday, October 13, 2014 through Sunday, November 9, 2014, the officers of the Truro Police Department responded to 407 calls for service.

Over the four weeks, there were 2 disturbances (one arrest), 11 warrant service attempts (3 arrests), 4 suspicious vehicles, 1 suspicious person and 6 reports of suspicious activity. There was one larceny and one reported trespassing. There were 26 burglar alarms  and 5 summons service attempts (3 rendered).

Officers assisted citizens on 16 occasions, other agencies including the National Park Service and the Registry of Motor Vehicles on 6 occasions and other law enforcement agencies on 13 occasions. There was one BOLO (be on the lookout) issued by the Barnstable Police. There were 9 fire alarms and 2 fires (one structure, one unauthorized burn). Truro officers also attend Narcan training during this period.

There were 20 fire-rescue calls, and one report of an incapacitated person. There was one unattended death. Officers conducted 3 reassurance checks and 4 well being checks. 

There were 3 noise complaints, 3 annoying phone call complaints, 2 citizen complaints and 8 animal complaints including a loose dog, a missing dog, a lost dog, a lost cat and a bird hit by a car. There was one civil matter.

One hundred and  thirty-eight motorists were pulled over, 32 citations were issued and 6 were arrested. There were 20 other motor vehicle-related calls including disabled motor vehicles and one person stuck in the sand (8 citations were issued). There were 3 traffic complaints (one arrest) and 2 parking complaints. 

There were 11 arrests:

  • On Sunday, November 9 at 6:17 p.m., Jennifer A. Hoey, 40, of 4 Moses Way, Apt. 6 in North Truro, was arrested during a warrant service at that address.
  • On Sunday, November 9 at 12:27 a.m., Allison Leigh Guynn, 36, of 115 Robinhood Road in Vicksburg, MS, was arrested following a motor vehicle accident on Route 6 and charged with OUI-liquor (2nd offense), negligent operation of a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of property damage, failure to stop for police, marked lanes violation, speeding, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and possession of marijuana.
  • On Tuesday, November 4 at 9:23 a.m., Linsey Lee Smith, 33, of 28 Old County Road in Truro, was arrested during a warrant service at that address. 
  • On Sunday, November 2 at 4:23 p.m., Richard Craig Mothersill, 41, of 8 Highland Road in North Truro, was arrested during a traffic stop on Route 6 and charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, failure to drive in the right lane and speeding.
  • On Saturday, November 1 at 8:57 p.m., Andrew Peter Helene, 53, of 20 Woodstock Drive in Brewster, was arrested during a motor vehicle stop on Route 6 and charged with OUI-liquor, marked lanes violation, speeding and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. 
  • On Friday, October 31 at 6 a.m., Brian J. Lamarco, 32, of 16 Peter's Pond Road, Apt. A in Truro, was arrested during a warrant service at that address.
  • On Monday, October 27 at 8:57 p.m., Jose M. Alicea, 41, of 73 Exeter Street in Lawrence, was arrested during a traffic stop on Route 6 and charged with motor vehicle lights violation and operating a license with a suspended license. There was also an outstanding warrant.
  • On Thursday, October 23 at 5:17 p.m., Gratien A. Caron, 7 Deibler Lane in Plainfield, CT, was arrested during a traffic stop on Shore Road and charged with OUI-liquor (2nd offense), negligent operation of a motor vehicle and speeding.
  • On Sunday, October 19 at 1:25 p.m., Kevin Robert Tower, 19, of 4 Moses Way, Apt. 4 in Truro, was arrested during a disturbance call at that address and charged with vandalizing property (defacement of real or personal property).
  • On Saturday, October 18 at 1:39 a.m., Benjamin Joseph Rotast, 37, of 4934 Caheunga Blvd, Apt. 103 in North Hollywood, CA, was arrested during a traffic stop on Route 6 and charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, speeding and failure to signal.
  • On Friday, October 17 at 5:31 p.m., Cynthia L. Welch, 58, of 1872 Southpointe Drive in Sarasota, FL, was arrested during a traffic complaint on Route 6 and charged with OUI-liquor (2nd offense), negligent operation of a motor vehicle and marked lanes violation.

  • Sunday, November 9 at 12:27 a.m. on Route 6 (OUI arrest, see above)
  • Friday, November 7 at 3:16 p.m. on Library Lane
  • Thursday, October 30 at 5:06 p.m. on Route 6
  • Saturday, October 18 at 3:29 p.m. on Route 6
  • Saturday, October 18 at 1:24 p.m. on Route 6
  • Friday, October 17 at 12:48 p.m. on Truro Center Road
  • Tuesday, October 14 at 3:54 p.m. on Route 6
