Nineteen arrests, one drug overdose, three K9 deployments
Yarmouth police activity for 10/21/14 to 10/27/14.

During the week of Tuesday, October 21, 2014 through Monday, October 27, 2014, the officers of the Yarmouth Police Department responded to 789 calls for service.

Over the course of the week there were 4 domestic disturbances (2 arrests), one assault and battery, 6 general disturbances, 3 reports of harassment, one report of witness intimidation (one criminal summons issued) and 5 reports of malicious destruction. There were 4 restraining order/harassment violations (3 arrests), 2 search warrant services (2 arrests), 10 warrant service attempts (3 arrests) and one restraining order service.

Officers responded to 2 larcenies, 2 reports of shoplifting (one arrest), 6 reports of fraud, 5 residential break-ins, 3 motor vehicle break-ins and one commercial break-in. 

There were 21 suspicious vehicles (one tow, one arrest), 18 suspicious persons (2 arrests) and 5 reports of suspicious activity. There were 3 unwanted guests and 3 intoxicated persons (one protective custody, one arrest). Officers were requested on 13 occasions and called in to keep the peace on 5 occasions.

There were 2 noise complaints, 2 animal complaints, 3 drug offenses (2 bylaw summons both at DYHS), one civil complaint, one family offense and 2 reports of gunshots. There were 2 attempted summons services and 2 attempted subpoena services (both made). 

There were 9 medical emergencies, 3 suicidal persons, 4 psychological/emotional calls, one missing person, one missing person located and 2 unattended deaths. Officers conducted 9 welfare checks. There were 2 disoriented person calls, one runaway from RFK/Children's Action Corps, one injured officer and one drug overdose.

Officers assisted other agencies on 4 occasions and the Yarmouth Department of Natural Resources on 8 occasions. There was one fire at the Cape Cod Family Resort. K9 units were deployed on 3 occasions.

One hundred and five motorists were pulled over (29 warnings, 7 citations, 3 summons, one tow, 4 arrests and one breath test). There were 5 other motor vehicle-related calls and 6 motor vehicle complaints (1 summons). There were 19 burglar alarms.
