Twenty-three arrests, two overdoses, three OUIs (one 3rd offense)
Falmouth police activity for 12/9/14 to 12/16/14.

During the 7-week period of Tuesday, December 9, 2014 to Tuesday, December 16, 2014, the officers of the Falmouth Police Department responded to 580 calls for service.

Over the course of the week, there were 8 domestic disturbances (3 arrests), 9 disorderly disturbances (2 arrests, one protective custody), 5 assault and battery/assault calls, one arson/bombing call, 2 threats and 2 reports of harassment. 

Officers assisted citizens on 17 occasions, another police department on one occasion and the Falmouth Fire Department on one occasion. Officer attempted to serve 13 arrest warrants (12 arrests), 7 summons (4 in hand) and 5 restraining orders (one in hand). Officers conducted one liquor license inspection and 4 probation checks.

There was one medical emergency, 3 suicide attempts/threats and one missing person. There were 2 overdoses.

Officers responded to 10 reported larcenies, 8 residential break-ins, 3 motor vehicle/trailer break-ins, 2 reports of ID theft/fraud, one report of forgery/uttering, 4 reports of shoplifting and one reported prowler. 

Officers conducted 14 welfare checks (3 arrests). There were 5 intoxicated person calls (2 protective custody) and 5 unwanted guests (2 protective custody). There were 12 suspicious motor vehicles (one tow), 5 suspicious persons, three reports of vandalism and one drug law violation. There were 34 burglar alarms (2 bylaw citations issued) and officers were requested to preserve the peace on 2 occasions.

There were 3 animal complaints, one dirt bike/ATV complaint, one annoying phone calls complaint, one illegal dumping complaint and two loud noise complaints.

Twenty-five motorists were pulled over (5 citations issued). There were 6 parking violation calls (2 citations issued), 19 motor vehicle-related calls (2 citations issued) and 7 reports of erratic driving (2 arrests).

There were 23 arrests:

  • On Tuesday, December 16 at 8:42 p.m., Raymond L. Lopes, 45, of 380 Sandwich Road in East Falmouth, was arrested during a warrant service at that address.
  • On Tuesday, December 16 at 8:41 p.m., John J. Hurtuk, 24, of 159 Sandwich Road in East Falmouth, was arrested during a warrant service at that address.
  • On Tuesday, December 16 at 7:26 p.m., Devin James Cunningham, 18, of 65 Mary Rose Lane in Falmouth, was arrested during a welfare check on Raymond Street and charged with violation of an abuse prevention order.
  • On Tuesday, December 16 at 11:44 a.m., John S. Gray, 28, of 300 Falmouth Road, Apt. 20B in Mashpee, was arrested during an attempt to locate at Subway in Mashpee on an arrest warrant.
  • On Tuesday, December 16 at 11:19 a.m., Tamara M. Holmes, 40, of 20 Vidal Ave. in E. Falmouth, was arrested during a warrant service at that address on 3 arrest warrants. Holmes was also charged with breaking and entering for a misdemeanor.
  • On Tuesday, December 16 at 12:18 a.m., Brandon L. Gordineer, 28, of 9 Debra Ann Lane, Apt. C in Falmouth, was arrested during a domestic disturbance at that address and charged with assault and battery on a family/household member and strangulation or suffocation.
  • On Monday, December 15 at 12:31 a.m., Kristy E. King, 35, of 485 Teaticket Highway, Apt. 22 in East Falmouth, was arrested during a disorderly disturbance on Spring Bars Road and charged with OUI-liquor and possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.
  • On Saturday, December 13 at 8:18 p.m., Michael L. McKinley, 61, of 120 Yarmouth Road in Hyannis, was arrested during an erratic motor vehicle call at Route 151 and Sandwich Road and charged with OUI-liquor (3rd offense), operating to endanger and marked lanes violation.
  • On Saturday, December 13 at 6:54 p.m., Elizabeth K. Stark, 35, of 86 Regis Road in East Falmouth, was arrested during a check welfare call on Redlands Road and charged with OUI-liquor and disorderly conduct.
  • On Friday, December 12 at 9:10 p.m., Stephen M. McDonough, 47, of 13 Holland Street in Falmouth, was arrested during a warrant service at that address.
  • On Friday, December 12 at 8:28 p.m., Sarina A. Medina, 35, of 42 Jamie Lane in East Falmouth, was arrested during a warrant service at that address.
  • On Friday, December 12 at 6 a.m., Byron M. Savage, 33, of 567 Kempton Street, Apt. 3 in New Bedford, was arrested during domestic disturbance on Waquoit Highway and charged with assault and battery on a family/household member.
  • On Thursday, December 11 at 6:28 p.m., Barry D. Tipton, 54, of 17 Mello Street in East Falmouth, was arrested during a warrant service on Gifford Street.
  • On Thursday, December 11 at 5:13 p.m., Daniel J. Riedl, 31, of 402 Teaticket Highway in Falmouth, was arrested during a warrant service at that address on a fugitive from justice court warrant.
  • On Wednesday, December 10 at 5:31 p.m., Jamah Robert Peters, 29, of 132 Scituate Road in Mashpee, was arrested during a disorderly disturbance on Teaticket Highway and charged with wantonly injuring real or personal property, disorderly conduct-subsequent offense, assault, resisting arrest and intimidation of a witness (police officer).
  • On Wednesday, December 10 at 4:28 p.m., John R. Redden, 36 of 20 Ocean View Ave. in North Falmouth, was arrested during a warrant service at that address.
  • On Wednesday, December 10 at 9:26 a.m., Brandon Joshua Smith, 28, of 64 E. Osterville Road in Osterville, was arrested during an erratic motor vehicle call on East Falmouth Highway on an arrest warrant.
  • On Wednesday, December 10 at 1:54 a.m., Joseph DeGrenier, 48, of 135 Blacksmith Shop Road in Falmouth, was arrested during a welfare check at that address on a warrant.
  • On Wednesday, December 10 at 1:29 a.m., Michael Tondryk, 26, of 325 Waquoit Highway in Falmouth, was arrested on Seacoast Shores Boulevard during a domestic disturbance and charged with assault and battery on a family/household member-subsequent offense, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, witness intimidation and strangulation or suffocation.
  • On Tuesday, December 9 at 7:46 p.m., Matthew P. Fuller, 34, of 101 Pine Grove Ave. in Lynn, was arrested on Sandwich Road during a warrant service. There were two outstanding warrants for Fuller.
  • On Tuesday, December 9 at 7:25 p.m., Cailey E. Copeland, 24, of 39 Pebble Lane in Falmouth, was arrested on Seabrook Drive during a warrant service.
  • On Tuesday, December 9 at 7:25 p.m., Robert Michael Estrella, 23, of 116 Seabrook Drive, Apt. 22 in East Falmouth, was arrested at that address during a warrant service.
  • On Tuesday, December 9 at 8:37 a.m., Emily Clifford, 22, of 61 Rose Morin Lane in Falmouth, was arrested on Teaticket Highway during a warrant service.
