Great River Boat Ramp in Mashpee closes for construction

Work will be done through the end of the month

The Great River Boat Ramp in Mashpee is closed now through Friday, January 30 for construction. Two other boat ramps in Mashpee remain open for boaters: the Ockway Bay Boat Ramp on Great Neck Road South and  the Edward A. Baker Boat Ramp at Pirate's Cove on Mashpee Neck Road.

Also close by, boaters may use the Waquoit Bay Landing on Waquoit Landing Road in Falmouth.

The Great River Boat Ramp Improvement Project was approved at Town Meeting in October 2013. The project includes reconstruction of the ramp and landing, the pier and floatation docks and reconstruction of the parking lot. The new pier and dock will be handicapped accessible.

The Great River Boat Ramp is the only public boat ramp in Mashpee on the Waquoit side of the bay.
