We'll be welcoming back the boys of summer in only four months

Look outside your window and it seems like this dismal, snowy weather is here to stay. But in a short four months we will be welcoming back the boys of summer for the 2015 Cape Cod Baseball League season.

Last week the league posted the 2015 schedule and the first day of the season is Tuesday, June 9.

In 126 days Cape Codders and visitors alike will be heading to their favorite field to watch their favorite team. From mid June to August, Cape Cod is host to talented baseball players from colleges all over the country, many of whom will go on to the Major League.

The Cape Cod Baseball league is divided into two divisions (East and West) of five teams each.

The Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox bested the Falmouth Commodores in August, taking home the 2014 Arnold Mycock Award during the Cape League Championships. This year the Sox will be fighting off the other nine teams in the league, all eager to get their hands on the trophy.

A highlight of the summer, the date has also been set for the Friendly's Cape League All-Star Game, Saturday, July 25 at 6 p.m. at Spillane Field in Wareham.

The Cape Cod Baseball League 2015 is on the CCBL website here and will be in the CapeCodToday.com calendar soon.
